Meet Smithtown Chiropractor, Dr. Sean Clancy, BS, DC, FICS
At Block Sports Chiropractic and Physical Therapy, Dr. Sean Clancy, BS, DC, FICS, provides comprehensive, sports-focused chiropractic and rehabilitation care for athletes and active individuals of all ages. Dr. Clancy earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University, where he played and later coached hockey. Having relied on chiropractic care throughout his own athletic career, he developed a deep appreciation for its role in injury recovery and performance optimization. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2013, where he completed additional training in Graston Technique.
Dr. Clancy furthered his expertise through certification with the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS), allowing him to treat sports injuries at every level — from youth and recreational athletes to Olympic competitors. Throughout his career, he has treated Mixed Martial Artists, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitors, marathon runners, Broadway dancers, gymnasts, and other professional/olympic athletes.
While Dr. Clancy has a strong focus on sports injuries, he is equally committed to helping all patients achieve optimal health and function. He creates personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s goals — whether that means returning to competition, keeping up with their children, or simply living pain-free. Known for his thoroughness, clinical excellence, and patient-centered approach, Dr. Clancy is dedicated to helping the community move better, feel stronger, and live healthier lives
