October is National Physical Therapy Month

All of the staff at Block Chiropractic Sports & Wellness in Smithtown and Selden would like to encourage you to participate in National Physical Therapy Month! We want to take the time to tell you what National Physical Therapy Month is about and how you can celebrate with us!

National Physical Therapy Month is a great way for our physical therapists to educate our patients and to recognize the efforts of all physical therapists across the nation.  Whether you are a patient, doctor, or simply interested in how to get involved, there is something for everyone!  In addition to our month-long celebration, Physical Therapy Day of service was on October 15th.

Check out these tips on how you can get involved this month!

  • The best way for physical therapists to celebrate is by giving back to the communities! You can donate, buy t-shirts, or look for other opportunities to give back.
  • Want to show your support from home? This month, the American Physical Therapy Association is using the hashtag #ChoosePT to spread its message! #ChoosePT is all about deciding to choose physical therapy as a safer pain management method, as opposed to painkillers, and living life pain-free! You can use the hashtag on your preferred social media platform to share with your community how physical therapy has helped your life.
  • Have a physical therapist in your life that has inspired or impacted your life in a way? Let them know you appreciate them by giving them a physical therapist appreciation gift!
  • Give us a visit! The staff at Block Chiropractic Sport & Wellness in Smithtown and Selden are just waiting to share our knowledge and expertise on how physical therapy can help you! #ChoosePT

Understanding the importance of physical therapy for overall motioning, strength, and flexibility, is critical to long-term health. Contact us here at Block Chiropractic Sports & Wellness to see how we can help you!
